I put these together because I am sick of reading girls putting themselves down on tumblr because they don’t look like any of these women. There are things called high end cosmetics and photoshop that make these women look perfect by hiding their blemishes and wrinkles. The truth is they can afford far better makeup than you. The stuff they use is almost magic. And we all know the things they can do with photographs these days. Strip all that away and they’re just like you. You also have to figure how many of these women had cosmetic surgery. There is no so such thing as a perfect and flawless looking person.

Long overdue post…puts things into a more balanced perspective. Thank you for this compilation.

this makes me feel better about not having thick eyebrows like you don’t even fucking know

How to make a felt rose head band:

Step 1.
You will need
scraps of felt, cut into circles, you can use various sizes to change the size of your finished rose. About 4cm in diameter is a good guide to start with. A pair of sharp scissors, needle and thread, pretty ribbon to attach them to, long enough to tie around head.
Step 2.
Starting at the outer edge of the circle cut a spiral shape into the middle.
Step 3.
Starting at the centre of your spiral, begin folding it into a cone, and stitch in place.
Step 4.
Continue in this way, you can fold over the length also to create more rose shaped petals. Continue making stitched through the back of the flower to secure.
Step 5.
Keep on folding, and stitching till you have the desired shape.
Step 6.
Finished flower. Don’t cast off yet, so you are ready for the next stage.
Step 7.
Add little felt leaves to the flower, stitching them underneath the flower.
Step 8.
Make some more in other colours.
Step 9.
Sew your flowers onto your ribbon head band, I like to make them a litre off centre, but you can be creative, and if you like sew them onto a felt back to create a bigger spray.
All done, and ready to wear!
